Position:                     Behavioral Technician
Location:                    Parkview Elementary
Status:                         Monday-Friday (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM), School Calendar

Pay:                             $12.50 - $14.00 hourly
Job Summary:            The role of the Behavioral Technician is to provide behavioral and emotional support to students placed in this program.
The Technician’s goal is to implement student behavior plans under the guidance of the program teacher; assuring that classroom student safety, management, and success consistently occur.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of high school diploma, Associates in the area of Family Services/Mental Health or Law Enforcement preferred
  • Previous experience with special needs youth desired
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build relationships with students, building and professional staff
  • Participate in trainings provided by CPS and any other training deemed necessary by the agency
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to physically meet the demands of the job including bending, lifting and kneeling
  • Ability to work in a stressful and often demanding environment
