Marketing and Digital Media Specialist

The Michigan Association of School Superintendents and Administrators (MASA) is the professional association serving K-12 superintendents and central office administrators. MASA serves as an information-rich source of support, council and professional development to 723 members from 486 school districts and 56 intermediate school districts. MASA has an opening for a full-time Marketing and Digital Media Specialist at its office in Lansing, Michigan.  

Role and Responsibilities

The MASA Marketing and Digital Media Specialist will:

  • Provide expertise, review, revise, and support the MASA communication plan
  • Be responsible for extensive writing and editing of membership communication materials
  • Create a significant amount of marketing materials of MASA events for distribution to the membership  
  • Ensure that the communications sent to the membership are high quality, relevant and effective
  • Manage contractors as needed to accomplish communications goals
  • Work in a collaborative, positive and supportive manner with all MASA staff
  • Report to the Association’s Deputy Executive Director
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or closely related field
  • Communications and/or marketing experience, preferably in a marketing communications agency with a membership-based association

MASA offers a competitive benefits package and the salary will range from $60,000-$70,000 based on experience.
