Salary: $11.00/Hour - No Benefits

Reports To: Director of Early Childhood

Qualifications:

  • ·         High school diploma.
  • ·         19 years of age or older. (Per state of Michigan licensing requirements)
  • ·         Have completed 15 clock hours, 1 semester hour, or 1.5 CEUs of documented school-age training.
  • ·         Have 480 hours of experience working as a caregiver in a program serving school-age children.
  • ·         CPR & First Aid Certification Preferred.
  • ·         Completion of background check and Department of Human Service clearance as well as Fingerprinting required before start date. 

Description: 

JOB GOAL:Latchkey site supervisor provide before and after school care for Fraser students in Grades K-6. Latchkey site supervisor works: Monday –Friday 6:45 am-8: 45 am and 3:15 pm-6:15 pm.

ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1.  Follow school and licensing procedures. 
  2.  Responsible for the daily operation and implementation of the site program, supervision of the site staff, and overall care and supervision of children.     
  3. Collecting and maintaining child’s weekly schedule. 
  4.  Assist in all of the following: (a) Developing, implementing, and evaluating program and center policies. (b) Administering day-to-day operations, including being available to address parent, child, and staff issues. (c) Monitoring and overseeing staff
  5.  Be aware of safety issues and emergency procedures. 
  6.  Prepare latchkey room before children arrive and organize after they leave. 
  7.  Prepare and maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment. 
  8.  Assist with recording daily attendance of children. 
  9.  Assist with ordering and providing snacks to the children. 
  10.  Have positive Interactions and provide activities for children individually and in groups. 
  11.  Maintain good communication with children, parents and other staff. 
  12.  Participate in supervising free play and outdoor play. 
  13.  Must be available for additional hours when the elementary schools have early dismissals and half days. 
  14.  Participate in a minimum of 16 training hours per year. 
  15.  Regular and reliable attendance.         
  16.  Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the director
