Position Details: 

The Teacher for the Visually Impaired provides specialized instructional services to students with a visual impairment or students with a visual impairment in combination with additional disabilities. Responsible for the coordination of the activities of the assigned paraprofessional and support staff providing services for students in the assigned area.

2019/2020 school year; estimated start date 7/1/2019. One (1) full-time position, average of 35 hours per week.

Certificated Salary Schedule. Genesee Intermediate Education Association

Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance after one full day of employment.  Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs in accordance with state law.   

Valid Michigan teacher certificate eligible for approval through the Michigan Department of Education as a teacher of the visually impaired.

Previous experience working with the Visually Impaired students at elementary level.
