o     Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or related field

o     Administrative certification (or enroll in a program within six months and obtain Administrative certification within three years)

o     Three or more Years Successful Teaching Experience at the Secondary Level

o     Student Centered

o     Understanding of Classroom Instruction that Improves Student Performance and/or Student Discipline

o     Enthusiastic Educational Leader with Strong Interpersonal Skills

o     Dedicated to Collaborative Decision-Making

o     Understanding of Professional Learning Community Practices (preferred)

o     Computer Skills in Word Processing, Databases, and Presentation

o     Effective collaborative leadership skills, excellent communication skills, high standards of personal ethics and integrity, and a passion for


Essential Duties:        

o     Serve as the principal in the principal’s absence

o     Responsible for evaluating and implementing student’s 504 plan

o     Assist the principal with:

·  Supervision of the school’s educational program

·  Establishing and maintaining an effective learning climate in the school

·  Assuring compliance with all state/federal laws and regulations regarding students, staff and the education programs

·  Responsibility for health, safety and welfare of students and staff

·  Student discipline

·  Preparation and administration of the school budget

·  Supervising building operations and maintenance

·  Leading Professional Learning Communities

·  Demonstrate leadership with parents, staff, and central office for improved programs and school climate

·  Assist with the staffing of certified and non-certified school personnel

·  Evaluate staff

·  Manage student Attendance Policy/Student Handbook

·  Organize and participate in school and community events as necessary, including evening and weekend events

·  Supervise scheduling and placement of students

·  Supervise co-curricular programs and activities

·  Prepare necessary reports and correspondence

·  Perform related duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or designee


Contract Year:                      52 Weeks (includes Holidays and Paid Vacation)
