           Work Year/Hours:   12 months/Year - (7-1/2 hours/day)    7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or as determined by principal

           Start Date:              July 1, 2019

           Salary:                    $15.48 Probationary -   For 60 Working Days

                                          $16.22 (Step 1) to $19.31 (Step 4) - Tier 2

Note: Candidates must successfully complete a series of clerical assessments including but not limited to word processing, dictation, computation, typing, general knowledge and skills.

Position Requirements

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge and competence in the use of computers including word processing and data base programs; willingness to upgrade skills as necessary.
  3. Trained, or available and willing to be trained, in the Power School student records program.
  4. Ability to meet and deal effectively with staff, students and community members.
  5. Training and experience in typing with a minimum of 50 wpm.
  6. Ability to take and transcribe dictation at 70 wpm.
  7. Ability to make accurate computations.
  8. Ability to operate usual office machines.
  9. Excellent record of attendance and punctuality.

Position Duties and Responsibilities (Example Only)

  1. Establish and maintain general office procedures in a manner consistent with good practice.
  2. Prepare correspondence, forms, letters, and reports as required.
  3. Maintain files and records, including financial reports and fundraising documentation.
  4. Post information to files as necessary.
  5. Handle routine matters in a prescribed fashion.  Make minor decisions in accordance with established rules and regulations.
  6. Assist in the planning and organization of building activities, as requested by the Principal.
  7. Organize and assign building coverage for absent teachers.
  8. Maintain discretion in dealing with confidential building issues.
  9. Skilled in the use of computers, including Micro-Soft word and Excel, experience in the use of Googledoc and Office 365.
  10. Ability to meet the public and to develop and maintain positive working relationships with office co-workers, professional and non-professional staff and all units of the school district.
  11. Take dictation notes during evaluation meetings and disciplinary procedures as required.
  12. Organization for testing.
  13. Preparation for graduation ceremonies.
  14. Publish newsletters and building level communication.
  15. Process student travel, conference leaves, and work permits.
  16. Process time sheets, work orders, and volunteer applications.
  17. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Principal.
