            The Au Gres-Sims School District announces the following administrative position:

 

     POSITION:                           INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES DIRECTOR

                                                      Reports to Superintendent

                                                     

      CERTIFICATION:              ^    Candidates must possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate

                                                      ^    Candidates must possess a valid Michigan Administrator Certificate

                                                      ^    Master's Degree in educational leadership preferred 

                                                      ^    Administrative and supervisory experience preferred

                                                           

      QUALIFICATIONS:           ^    In-depth instructional knowledge and teaching experience

                                                      ^    Ability to lead and develop the School Improvement Plan/Team

                                                      ^    Willingness to become proficient in Title I regulations

                                                      ^    Willingness to become proficient in state and federal funding

                                                      ^    Ability to integrate Title I program into School Improvement Plan

                                                      ^    Demonstrate, model, and lead effective classroom management skills

                                                      ^    Demonstrate, model, and lead best practice teaching strategies

                                                      ^    Demonstrate, model, and lead the utilization of technology in the classroom

                                                      ^    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with students, staff, administration,     and community

                                                      ^    Strong background in curriculum development, intervention strategies, and Multi-tiered Systems of Support

                                                      ^    Growth mindset, ability to see trends, and synthesize complex information

                                                      ^    Familiarity with teacher effectiveness, instructional practices, leadership, and content standards as they relate to positively impacting student achievement

                                                      ^    Possess a results-oriented, achievement-driven approach to curriculum

                                                      ^    Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

                                                      ^    Dedication to advancing student achievement

                                                      ^    Ability to coach and collaborate with educators with diverse experience

                                                      ^    Ability to work independently and take initiative

                                                      ^    Ability to leverage data to drive instruction

                                                      ^    Administrative and supervisory experience preferred

                                                      ^    Comprehension of online instructional proficiency

                                                      ^    Oral and written communication skills

                                                                                             

      DUTIES:                                ^    Provide curriculum support to staff and students

                                                      ^    Plan for and arrange staff professional development                                                                                           opportunities

                                                      ^    Monitor and assess academic successfulness of programs and strategies

                                                      ^    Provide academic support for teachers

                                                      ^    Be responsible for coordinating testing for all grades

                                                      ^    Work with department chairs to develop curriculum

                                                      ^    Oversee NWEA assessments, data collection, and data disaggregation

                                                      ^    Direct School Improvement Process

                                                      ^    Direct Title I Services

                                                      ^    Provide limited direct intervention to students

                                                      ^    Oversee STEM curriculum overlay

                                                      ^    Participate in overall research and data collection of student performance

                                                      ^    Deliver instructional and administrative coaching, and professional development for implementation of best                                          practices and school-wide initiatives

                                                      ^    Research effective practices and policies regarding rigorous curricula and effective teaching

                                                      ^    Other duties as assigned

 

      START DATE:                     2019-20 School Year

 

      SALARY:                              A competitive administrative compensation and benefits package to be negotiated commensurate with experience and

                                                  certifications
