Position Details: 

Position: High School Spanish Teacher

Location: Potterville Middle/High School Potterville Public Schools is welcoming applicants for a vacancy in Spanish. The district seeks an innovative and passionate professional to join our team to continue the forward progress and change the district has undergone in recent years by enhancing the education experience for our students. The desired candidate would possess the following attributes: ● Familiarity with Marzano’s The Art and Science of Teaching, classroom engagement techniques, and formative assessment techniques ● Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning practices ● Exceptional communication, analysis, interpersonal, and organizational skills ● Understanding of, or demonstrated training in, PBIS and MTSS initiatives ● Ability to handle complex and stressful issues or situations with sound judgment, common sense, and a calm demeanor ● Impeccable character, a good sense of humor, and compassion for high school and middle school students, families, and staff ● Willingness to undertake extra-curricular assignments; preferably a coaching role in one of our sports teams or extracurricular programs ● Willing to work with our building and/or district teams to provide input within strategic planning throughout this year Eligible candidates must meet the following qualifications: ● A Bachelor’s degree or higher ● Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate ● Endorsements in Spanish (FF) certifications will be considered ● Strong base in the subject area content, common core standards, and Michigan Merit Curriculum standards ● Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with students, staff, parents, and district colleagues ● Demonstrated ability to sustain and improve student achievement outcomes ● Willingness to contribute to a safe school climate of high expectations and strong collaboration, high staff and student morale, and positive community involvement Position Details: ● Title: Spanish Teacher ● Reports to: Middle/High School Principal ● Calendar: teacher calendar of 185 work days ● Compensation: Salary commensurate with the credentials and experience of the candidate, per the current contract with an employee association ● Application deadline: until filled; immediate interviews are possible
